We are always looking for ambitious, passionate, and talented students and scientists with a strong background in basic chemistry, technical electrochemistry, and engineering. We are also always interested in innovative approaches such as additive manufacturing, machine learning methods and automation. Open positions in the group either at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum or the Fraunhofer UMSICHT will be displayed here. For further opportunities to join our group, please see below.
Please note that the large influx of emails does not allow us to respond to all requests, but all applications will be considered.
We welcome applications from postdoctoral researchers with a background in electrochemistry, inorganic chemistry (materials, coordination compounds), (electro)chemical engineering. Please note that there are currently no funded positions available. We encourage applications from candidates who have their own funding or are interested in applying for external funding with our support.
Applications can be submitted at all times in pdf format (one pdf file) to Ulf-Peter Apfel. Please include a cover letter, a CV including your publications, a short research summary, and at least two reference letters. We encourage you to already include a short outline (2 pages max.) of the planned research project that aligns with our groups work. Possible start dates and funding opportunities should also be included.
